In an early stage of the development of the University college 3D BluePrint has realised a feasability study in the complex location of the Anna van Buerenplein in The Hague.

The location is directly next to the central station of the Hague, and next and above the heightened tram track. In close collaboration with Michiel Cohen a bearing structure has been developed, which enables the trams to continue service during construction. Above this structure a building program has been created where functionality, architectural possibilities and budget are aligned. The Building Information Model played an important role, to be able to test various options.

Based on the building program Fortress development has been able to convince the University of Leiden to continue further development of the Anna van Bueren building. Based on the building program architect Wiel Arets designed the next stages of the building.
